North Carolina High School Baseball - Laney defeats North Brunswick

April 29, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28405

The Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) baseball trounced the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), 6-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, May 1. Laney will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 13-10.

The Scorpions (7-15) will now prepare for their outing against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle come into the Mideastern 3A/4A outing with a 19-4 record. In their last outing, Ashley tipped South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 4-2, in a league outing.
