The Grants Pirates baseball team scored 27 runs and limited the visiting Highland Hornets to 0 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates (11-6) will now prepare for their match against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans go into the 4A District 5 match with a 9-4 record. In their last match, St. Pius X gained a win over Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 16-6, in a non-league match.
The Hornets (0-12) will now prepare for their match against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles go into the 4A District 5 challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Belen notched a victory over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 5-2, in a league challenge.
