North Carolina High School Baseball - Providence Grove holds off Southwestern Randolph

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), saw Providence Grove's baseball squad beat Southwestern Randolph by a margin of 9-5.

Coming up next, the Patriots play the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle, on Friday, March 10. Providence Grove will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 15-3 non-league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC).

The Cougars now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Montgomery Central for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 8. Southwestern Randolph will battle a Timberwolves squad coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 1-2.
