The Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 15-8 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, March 12. Lumberton will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 28-2 league win over Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC).

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoke County for a non-league contest on Monday, March 11. Jack Britt will play a Bucks squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 0-4.
