The Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 12-6 in Monday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Pirates encounter the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A contest, on Wednesday, May 1. Lumberton will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record. The Rams come into the contest with a 16-7 record after their 22-2 league win over Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC).

The Buccaneers now sport a 5-17 record.
