The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) and the visiting Lynbrook Vikings (San Jose, CA), saw Monta Vista's volleyball squad nip Lynbrook by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Monta Vista upgrades its record to 11-8 on the year. The Matadors host Homestead (Cupertino, CA) to confront the Mustangs in a SCVAL - De Anza game on Wednesday, April 12. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 17-6. Homestead won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA)

The Vikings (13-10) will now prepare for their game against Harker (San Jose, CA). The Eagles enter the SCVAL - De Anza game with a 11-8 record. In their last game, Harker held off Cupertino (Cupertino, CA), 3-0, in a league game.
