Texas High School Softball - Parkland bounces Bel Air

The Parkland Matadors routed the visiting Bel Air Highlanders softball squad by a final score of 16-1 in Friday's league battle.

The Matadors (15-14) will now prepare for their battle against Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Knights go into the 5A Region I District 2 battle with a 31-1 record. In their last battle, Hanks topped Del Valle (El Paso, TX), 20-0, in a league battle.

The Highlanders now possess a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to Horizon for a 5A Region I District 2 battle on Tuesday, April 18. Bel Air will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Ysleta (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 3-15.
