New Mexico High School Softball - Kirtland Central bounces Shiprock

The Kirtland Central Broncos routed the host Shiprock Chieftains softball squad by a count of 9-4 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Broncos (7-12) will now prepare for their battle against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats go into the 4A District 1 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Bloomfield was routed by Miyamura (Gallup, NM), 12-8, in a league battle.

The Chieftains now sport a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to Miyamura for a 4A District 1 battle on Thursday, April 18. Shiprock will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 12-8 league win over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Patriots record now stands at 10-11.
