New Mexico High School Baseball - St. Pius X defeats Belen

In Thursday's league game, the visiting St. Pius X Sartans baseball team scored a close 9-2 win over the Belen Eagles.
The Sartans (12-11) will now prepare for their game against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates go into the 4A District 5 game with a 13-5 record. In their last game, Grants nudged Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 5-2, in a league game.
Next, the Eagles play the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 5 game, on Tuesday, April 22. Belen will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Hornets go into the game with a 3-13 record after their 16-2 non-league loss to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM).
