The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes softball team scored 19 runs and restricted the visiting Taos Tigers to 18 in the Elks/Elkettes league victory on Saturday.

The Elks/Elkettes (6-16) will now prepare for their match against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils go into the 4A District 2 match with a 4-17 record. In their last match, Espanola Valley was nipped by Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM), 15-5, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) in a 4A District 2 match, on Wednesday, April 30. Taos will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the match with a 17-5 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Belen (Belen, NM).
