New Mexico High School Softball - Rio Rancho bounces Volcano Vista

In Thursday's league match, the host Rio Rancho Rams softball team scored a tight 8-3 win over the Volcano Vista Hawks.
The Rams (11-6) will now prepare for their match against Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Cougars come into the 5A District 1 match with a 15-3 record. In their last match, Cibola nipped Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM), 4-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Hawks confront the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 1 match, on Tuesday, April 8. Volcano Vista will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Scorpions come into the match with a 10-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
