Fans at Friday's league test between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), witnessed Topsail's lacrosse squad hold off Hoggard by a count of 14-13.

The Pirates (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers enter the Mideastern test with a 4-3 record.

Next, the Vikings battle the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern test, on Tuesday, April 8. Hoggard will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the test with a 10-1 record after their 18-3 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
