Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) and the host Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Piedmont Community Charter's softball squad prevail over Sugar Creek by a count of 29-10.
The Patriots now sport a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Gaston Christian for a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. Piedmont Community Charter will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.
With the loss, Sugar Creek moves to 0-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC) to meet the Stallions in a Metro Eight 1A match on Wednesday, April 26. The Stallions go into the match with a record of 12-3.
