The North Providence Cougars softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains to 2 in the Cougars league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, North Providence improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to clash with the Avengers in a Division 2 B game on Friday, April 8. The Avengers come into the game with a record of 2-0.
