Connecticut High School Softball - Nonnewaug bounces Thomaston

In Thursday's league match, the host Nonnewaug Chiefs softball team scored a tight 6-2 win over the Thomaston Bears.

The Chiefs (11-0) will now prepare for their match against Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Highlanders come into the Berkshire match with a 3-1 record.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) in a Berkshire match, on Monday, May 5. Thomaston will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 5-8 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Oxford (Oxford, CT).
