Nevada High School Softball - Yerington bounces Oasis Academy

Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Oasis Academy Bighorns (Fallon, NV), 12-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pershing County for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. Yerington will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 19-4 league win over Silver Stage (Silver Springs, NV). The Mustangs record now stands at 23-0.

With the loss, Oasis Academy falls to 20-7 on the campaign. The Bighorns travel to Battle Mountain (Battle Mountain, NV) to battle the Longhorns in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Longhorns enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Battle Mountain won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA)
