Georgia High School Softball - Pickens gets by Dawson County

August 19, 2024: Jasper, GA 30143

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the visiting Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA), observed Pickens's softball team get by Dawson County by a final score of 5-4.

The Dragons (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Trojans go into the 3A Region 6 bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, North Hall was nipped by White County (Cleveland, GA), 8-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) in a 3A Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, August 20. Dawson County will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 10-7 non-league win over Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA).
