With the triumph, Pickens improves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Dragons host Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA) to play the Spartans in a 3A Region 6 game on Monday, September 9. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 2-10. Greater Atlanta Christian won 21-13 in their recent league game against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA)

The Tigers now hold a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Gilmer for a non-league game on Saturday, September 7. Dawson County will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-13.
