In Friday's league bout, the Shadow Creek Sharks (Pearland, TX) volleyball team knocked off the visiting Sam Rayburn Texans (Pasadena, TX), by a margin of 3-0.

The Sharks now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Bend Elkins for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23. Shadow Creek will battle a Knights team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Clear Falls (League City, TX). The Knights record now stands at 7-6.

Next, the Texans battle the Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 contest, on Tuesday, August 26. Sam Rayburn will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Oilers enter the contest with a 9-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Foster (Richmond, TX).
