Texas High School Volleyball - Westlake edged by O'Connor

O'Connor Panthers (Helotes, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX). The WILDCATS come into the 6A Region IV District 28 challenge with a 7-7 record. In their last challenge, Sotomayor was nudged by McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chaparrals meet the Cedar Park Timberwolves (Cedar Park, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to La Vernia (La Vernia, TX).
