The Lumpkin County Indians softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting North Hall Trojans to 3 in the Indians league triumph on Tuesday.
Next, the Indians meet the White County Warriors (Cleveland, GA) in a 3A Region 6 challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Lumpkin County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 6-0 league loss to Pickens (Jasper, GA).
The Trojans (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA). The Tigers enter the 3A Region 6 challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Dawson County edged Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA), 11-2, in a league challenge.
