The Marshall Mavericks volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Mt. Pleasant Tigers to 0 in the Mavericks league triumph on Friday.
The Mavericks now possess a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Nacogdoches for a 5A Region II District 10 game on Tuesday, September 2. Marshall will confront a Dragons squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Tyler (Tyler, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 6-15.
The Tigers (4-7) will now prepare for their game against Cumby (Cumby, TX). The Trojans enter the non-league game with a 3-11 record. In their last game, Cumby was dropped by Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
