The Marshall Mavericks volleyball squad scored 3 points and limited the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers to 0 in the Mavericks league victory on Tuesday.
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 match, on Friday, October 3. Marshall will attempt to advance on its 22-12 season record. The Dragons enter the match with a 7-22 record after their 3-1 league loss to Tyler (Tyler, TX).
The Tigers (6-19) will now prepare for their match against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Fightin' Indians enter the 5A Region II District 10 match with a 8-13 record. In their last match, Jacksonville was dropped by Hallsville (Hallsville, TX), 3-0, in a league match.
