In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Lincoln Northeast Rockets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Lincoln Southeast Knights.

The Rockets (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fremont (Fremont, NE). The Tigers come into the A District challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Fremont edged Battle Creek (Battle Creek, NE), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE) in a A District challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Lincoln Southeast will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
