North Carolina High School Volleyball - Bunker Hill crushed by Hickory

In Thursday's league match, the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) volleyball team overcame the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), by a count of 3-0.

The Red Tornadoes (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC). The Red Devils enter the Western Foothills 4A/5A contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Newton-Conover was knocked off by East Lincoln (Denver, NC), 3-1, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Blue Devils go into the battle with a 12-2 record after their 3-1 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
