With the win, Thornwood upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Simeon (Chicago, IL) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 14. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Simeon lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Juarez (Chicago, IL)

The Blazing Trojan now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kankakee for a Southland bout on Thursday, September 15.
