The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Rutland Hurricanes to 0 in the Gryphons league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Academy for Classical Education improves its record to 22-2 on the year. The Gryphons travel to Northside (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league game on Friday, September 30. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 16-7. Northside won 13-2 in their recent league game against McIntosh (Peachtree City, GA)

In their next game, the Hurricanes clash with the Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) in a 2A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, October 4. Rutland will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Cherokees come into the game with a 1-11 record after their 8-0 league loss to Central (Macon, GA).
