Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (23-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bobcats come into the 5A Region II District 10 challenge with a 18-9 record. In their last challenge, Hallsville beat Marshall (Marshall, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Dragons play the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Nacogdoches will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record.
