According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Gage Baker of Paradise Honors (Surprise, Ariz.) is high school football's national leader in passing yardage.

Through seven games this season, Baker has thrown for 2,848 yards and 43 touchdowns for the 5-2 Panthers. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior went for a season-high 546 yards and 10 touchdown passes in a Sept. 15 win over Show Low. He is completing over 70 percent of his attempts and has thrown just four interceptions.

A familiar name is No. 2 on the list in Isaac Wilson of Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah) – the younger brother of New York Jets starting signal caller Zach Wilson. The Utah commit has piled up 2,782 yards and 31 touchdowns in eight games for the nationally-ranked Chargers. He has topped the 400-yard mark three times, including a season-high 469 against Granger in August.

Another Utah quarterback is at No. 3 on the list in Jackson Stevens of Skyridge (Lehi). After leading his team to a state championship victory over Wilson and Corner Canyon last year, Stevens is back at it with 2,596 yards and 33 touchdowns through eight games. Three weeks ago in a 48-10 win over Westlake, the 6-5, 215-pound senior threw for 351 yards and seven TDs.

Wilson and Stevens could meet once again in Utah's Class 6A state playoffs.
