Fourth-ranked Allen has no problems with Plano; No. 6 Longview pulls out tough game with Louisiana power West Monroe; No. 13 Judson and 19th-ranked Rockwall pull out wild high-scoring games over other ranked squads.

Action heats up across the Lone Star State.

Thirteen of the Top 25 Texas teams were not in action on Friday night — nine had byes this week — but the highest ranked squad in action, No. 4 Allen had little resistance from host Plano. Ryan (No. 9) and Westlake (No. 11) also breezed to victories, but sixth-ranked Longview pulled out a defensive battle with Louisiana power West Monroe.

In two games featuring two ranked teams, No. 13 Judson and 19th-ranked Rockwall won two high-scoring games.

The only upset of the night was 12th-ranked Fort Bend Marshall losing a tight home game to Manvel.
