Texas high school football: Week 9 schedule, scores

No. 19 Guyer hits the road to take on No. 16 Allen in one of the state's biggest games of the weekend.

This weekend's Texas high school football schedule is headlined by No. 19 Denton Guyer at No. 16 Allen. Both teams come into Friday's contest with plenty of momentum following slow starts by their standards.

Guyer has scored 55 or more in each of its last three outings – all wins – to run its record to 5-2.

After an 0-2 start, Allen is also 5-2 and has only allowed 30 points over its past four games.

In other top 25 action, No. 24 King (Houston) hits the road to battle unbeaten No. 3 Atascocita (Humble). Elsewhere, 5-1 Denton Ryan travels to battle unbeaten and No. 7 Aledo while No. 22 Longview goes to 6-1 McKinney North (McKinney) and No. 25 Klein Collins (Spring) tangles with 5-2 Klein Cain (Houston) on the road.
