Cameron Boozer, Tounde Yessoufou headline list of 2,000-point career scorers coming out of 2024-25 high school basketball season

By Kevin Askeland May 8, 2025, 2:30pm

List includes 16 players that have topped the 3,000-point plateau, including Class of 2026 scoring sensation Jason Crowe Jr.

In addition to being MaxPreps All-Americans, Cameron Boozer of Columbus (Miami, Fla.), Tounde Yessoufou of St. Joseph (Santa Maria, Calif.), Kingston Flemings of Brennan (San Antonio, Texas) and Braylon Mullins of Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, Ind.) have something else in common — they all scored over 2,000 points during their high school basketball careers.

That quartet joins 190 other players that MaxPreps has identified as reaching the 2,000-point — and in some cases 3,000-point — milestone. Yessoufou is the most prolific of the four, breaking the previous California state record, according to the Cal-Hi Sports record book, by nearly 200 points with a career total of 3,659 points.

Boozer, the MaxPreps National Player of the Year, finished his career with 2,593 points while Flemings had 2,452 and Mullins scored 2,158. MaxPreps All-American honorable mention selections on the list include Alijah Arenas of Chatsworth (Calif.) at 3,002, Kenyon Aguino of Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, N.M.) at 2,154, Jason Crowe Jr. of Inglewood (Calif.) at 3,331 and Cameron Ward of Largo (Upper Marlboro, Md.) at 2,714.

A total of 16 players on the list have gone over 3,000 total points, led by Jack McCormick of Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, Texas). McCormick's total ranks No. 4 all-time in Texas. Meanwhile Auden Slaughter of Santa Fe (Tenn.) ranks No. 3 all-time in Tennessee with 3,587 career points.

Quinn Kwasniak of Cornerstone Christian (Willoughby, Ohio) is the new all-time state leader in Ohio with 3,342 points. Drew Daoust of Southern Door (Brussels, Wis.) is the No. 2 all-time scorer in Wisconsin with 3,096 points. A.J. Thomas of Eduprize Open (Gilbert, Ariz.) ranks No. 2 all-time in Arizona (although not Arizona Interscholastic Association) history with 3,216 points.

Crowe is the highest-scoring junior on the list. He needs just 329 points to break Yessoufou's California state record. Jordan Borowicz of Roseau (Minn.) is the highest-scoring sophomore with 2,238 points.

Career totals were determined using the MaxPreps database, the Minnesota High School Basketball Records website, state association websites, internet searches and e-mails to coaches. Career totals include any points scored at the varsity level and may include points scored during seventh and eighth grade seasons.
