Devyn Younce made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JoeE Younce, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Natalie Hamilton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Pleasant Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Pleasant Hill's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Harrisonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
