No. 7 DeSoto (Texas)
won its 19th straight game handing Willis (Texas)
its first loss of the season with a 65-31 win. After the game was tied at 17 halfway through the second quarter, the Eagles outscored the Wildkats 38-14. DeSoto has won every game by at least 14 points this season and will face district rival Cedar Hill
in the UIL 6A Division 2 quarterfinals. The Eagles won the regular season meeting 35-13.
and No. 21 Liberty (Peoria, Ariz.)
clinched a spot in the Arizona Open Division state championship with a 54-12 win over Highland (Gilbert)
. Bruzon finished the night with five total touchdowns giving him 50 on the season. They will face Centennial (Peoria)
in the state championship next Saturday. These two played three weeks ago and the Lions won 36-17. Bruzon completed 17 of 24 passes for 371 yards and three touchdowns to go with 139 yards on the ground.
