Leading his basketball team's run to a CIF Division 1 state championship,
Caleb Foster of
Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) has been selected as the MaxPreps California Player of the Year.
Bound for Duke, Foster earned all-area player of the year honors from the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News after leading Notre Dame to a state championship over Granada. He was also named to the MaxPreps All-America Team while averaging 21.4 points per game.
David Rebibo of
Harvard-Westlake (Studio City) is the state coach of the year. After losing to St. John Bosco in the Southern Section Open Division Pool Play, the Wolverines rebounded in the CIF Open Division state tournament with wins over St. John Bosco and Centennial (Corona), the two Southern Section Open Division finalists, before beating St. Joseph (Santa Maria) in the state finals. Harvard-Westlake finished 33-2 overall.
Foster and Rebibo top the MaxPreps California All-State Team, which includes 30 players on six teams.

Dame to a Division 1 state championship over Granada. He averaged 21.4
points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. The Duke commit was named

Angeles Daily News.
Jared McCain, Centennial (Corona)
6-2 | Guard | Senior
The Inland Empire player of the year by the Riverside
Press-Enterprise and he was also the Open Division player of the year in
the Southern Section and a first team all-area pick by the Los Angeles
Times. The Duke commit averaged 17.7 points per game with 7.1 rebounds and 4.0
assists. He led Centennial to a 30-4 record and a Southern Section Open
Division championship.
Marcus Adams Jr., Narbonne (Harbor City)
6-8 | Forward | Senior
The
Los Angeles City Section Open Division co-player of the year earned a
spot on the Los Angeles Times all-area team after averaging 28.8 points
and 6.8 rebounds per game. He has committed to play at Kansas.
Trent Perry, Harvard-Westlake (Studio City)
6-4 | Guard | Junior
The
MVP of the Mission League and a member of the all-area team by the Los
Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News, Perry also made the
MaxPreps Junior All-American team. He averaged 16 points, seven rebounds
and six assists per game in leading Harvard-Westlake to the CIF Open
Division championship.
Andrej Stojakovic, Jesuit (Carmichael)
6-6 | Guard | Senior
The
son of former Sacramento Kings forward Peja Stojakovic, averaged
24.1 points per game for the Marauders while leading them to the
Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 championship game. The MaxPreps
Sac-Joaquin Section co-MVP has signed to play at Stanford.
Second TeamRyan Beasley, Dougherty Valley (San Ramon)
5-11 | Guard | Senior
Headed to play at USF after leading Dougherty Valley to the North
Coast Section Open Division championship. He was named player of the
year by the Bay Area News Group and the San Francisco Chronicle and averaged 24.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. For his
career he scored 1,823 points.
Brady Dunlap, Harvard-Westlake (Studio City)
6-8 | Forward | Senior
Made
the Southern Section's All-Open Division team and received recognition
from the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News. A significant
force on Harvard-Westlake's CIF Open Division championship team, Dunlap
averaged 17 points and five rebounds per game.
Jurian Dixon, St. Augustine (San Diego)
6-5 | Forward | Senior
The
San Diego Section player of the year led St. Augustine to back-to-back
section open division championships. He averaged 18.2 points with 6.2
rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
Courtney Anderson Jr, Dublin
6-5 | Forward | Senior
Made the All-Metro team by the San Francisco Chronicle and the All-Bay
Area team by the Bay Area News Group. The Colorado signee averaged 16.4
points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Dusty Stromer, Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks)
6-6 | Forward | Senior
The Gonzaga commit joined Foster to lead Notre Dame to the CIF Division 1 championship. He
averaged 17.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 22 assists and made the Los
Angeles Daily News all-area team, the Los Angeles Times all-area team
and the CIF Southern Section Open Division team.
Third TeamElzie Harrington, St. John Bosco (Bellflower)
6-5 | Forward | Sophomore
Led the Braves to a Trinity League championship and landed on the
Los Angeles Times All-Area team and the CIF Southern Section Open
Division team. He averaged 15.3 points and five rebounds per game.
Alec Blair, De La Salle (Concord)
6-5 | Forward | Sophomore
Named
to the All-Metro team by the San Francisco Chronicle and the All-Bay
Area Team by the Bay Area News Group, Blair led the Spartans to the
North Coast Section Open Division championship game and averaged 16
points, five rebounds and two steals per game.
Jason Crowe Jr., Lynwood
6-3 | Guard | Freshman
The
Southern Section Division V player of the year led Lynwood to a CIF
Division V championship. He was one of the leading scorers in the nation
and, according to Cal-Hi Sports, he is the highest scoring freshman in
state history with 1,295 points in 36 games (34 ppg).
B.J. Davis, Modesto Christian (Modesto)
6-1 | Guard | Senior
The
MaxPreps Sac-Joaquin Section co-MVP, Davis led the Crusaders to a
Sac-Joaquin Section Division 1 championship and the NorCal Regional Open
Division finals. He averaged 18.4 points, 4.4 assists, 5.8 rebounds and
1.9 steals per game.
Tounde Yessoufou, St. Joseph (Santa Maria)
6-6 | Forward | Sophomore
Already a two-time league MVP, he was
the all-area MVP by the Santa Maria Times. He led St. Joseph to a
Central Section Division 1 championship and a spot in the CIF Open
Division finals against Harvard-Westlake. He averaged 27.8 points, 10.7
rebounds, 3.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 2.9 assists.
Fourth TeamMike Davis Jr., San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno)
6-7 | Forward | Senior
The
Fresno Bee all-area player of the year finished his career with 1,653
points, according to Cal-Hi Sports. He led the Panthers to a Division II
state championship.
Zack Davidson, Mater Dei (Santa Ana)
6-8 | Forward | Senior
The
Southern Section Division 1 player of the year and a member of the
Orange County Register's All-County Team, Davidson averaged 17.9 points,
7.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
Brandon Benjamin, Canyon (Anaheim)
6-5 | Forward | Sophomore
Earned player of the year honors on the all-county team by the Orange
County Register. He also made the Southern Section All-Division 1 team.
He averaged 22.5 points, 3.2 assists and 8.7 rebounds.
Andrew McKeever, Granada (Livermore)

He'll play at St. Mary's next year after leading Granada to a NorCal
Division 1 championship. He averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Section honors. He averaged 23.8 points per game with 9.2 assists and
3.2 rebounds.

Southern Section Class 2AA player of the year and an all-county pick by
the Orange County Register, Brown led Tesoro to a Southern Section 2AA
championship. He averaged 26 points per game in league play.

member of the Los Angeles Times all-area team, the Press-Enterprise
All-Inland Empire team and the Southern Section Open Division team,
McBride averaged 13.5 points and 8.4 rebounds for the Southern Section

All-Metro and All-Bay Area pick by the San Francisco Chronicle and Bay
Area News Group respectively, Williams led Oakland to a Division III
state championship. He averaged 17.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists

Headed
to Boise State, Meadow earned All-CIF Open Division honors along with
all-area recognition by the Los Angeles Daily News. He averaged 16.5
