High school volleyball national block leaders: Jaslyn Smith averaging more than two rejections per set

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Jaslyn Smith of Dale County (Midland City, Ala.) is high school volleyball's national leader in blocks.

Smith is putting up a wall this season with an average of 2.2 blocks per set and 6.2 per match. The junior is also leading the team in kills with 154.

Freshman Shaleigh Walker of Poland Seminary (Poland, Ohio) and Lillianna Rowe of Orland (Calif.) are tied for second with 134 stuffs. Walker has 87 solo blocks in addition to 60 kills. Meanwhile, Rowe has helped Orland to a 22-4 record while also posting a team-high 189 kills for the top team in the Northern Section's Division 3.

Rounding out the top five are Ann Akindayomi of Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, Texas) and Erin Glover of Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, S.C.).
