The
Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings were released last week. Now we are expanding our look at the nation's top teams by looking at the next 75.
The teams in the top 100 all have excellent pedigree, a tradition of success and big-time players fueling expectations of jumping into the MaxPreps Top 25 as the season progresses. Some are returning state champions while others are contenders to bring home a title in 2024-25.
California (11) and Florida (8) lead the way with a combined 19 teams on the list.
In total, 30 different states along with the District of Columbus are represented. Twenty of those states had multiple teams selected. Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia each have four or more teams highlighted.
