Tanner Wilson of
Sunnyside (Fresno) is California high school football's leader when it comes to passing yardage, according to statistics submitted to MaxPreps. The 6-foot, 165-pound sophomore has thrown for 2,801 yards during a 6-2 start for the Wildcats.
Wilson, who has already thrown 32 touchdown passes, completed 21 of 27 attempts for 350 yards and four scores in a 48-35 win over Torres last weekend.
For the year, Wilson has gone over 400 yards twice, including a season-high 474 yards and seven touchdowns on 34 of 44 passing in a 50-27 win over Golden Valley Aug. 19. He has gone over 350 yards six times.
In addition to the damage he has done with his arm, Wilson has run for 255 yards and three scores on 37 carries. The son of Sunnyside head coach Thomas Wilson, Tanner has thrown for over 6,000 yards during his career with two regular season games left this season.

Millikan (Long Beach) of
Myles Jackson checks in at No. 2 on the list with 2,687 yards. Jackson went off on Compton last weekend, going 21 of 29 for 424 yards and six touchdowns in a 50-20 win.
Anders Lundsberg sits in the No. 3 spot with 2,664 yards. The 6-4, 205-pound senior has reached 400 yards three times this fall, including a season-high 497 yards and four scores on 28 of 47 passing in a 56-40 loss to Villa Park earlier this month.
