Postseason high school basketball is underway in most states across the country with more than 70 programs looking to extend championship streaks.
Leading the way are
Vashon (St. Louis, Mo.)
and
Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, N.J.)
, which each have active state championship winning streaks of six heading into the postseason.
Vashon (17-3) is Missouri's top-ranked team in Class 4 and the Wolverines might have had seven in a row if not for the COVID-19 pandemic shortening the 2020 state tournament.

Extending the streak might be more of an uphill battle for Ramapo (16-10), which is ranked No. 10 in New Jersey's Division Group III field.
Montpelier (Vt.)
and
John Marshall (Richmond, Va.)
each have streaks of five straight state crowns.
In addition to John Marshall, three other programs in Virginia are looking to extend championship streaks.
Fairfax Christian (Dulles)
is looking for its fourth title in a row while
South Lakes (Reston)
and
Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville)
are both competing for a third.
Read on for a full list of teams with active state championship winning streaks entering the postseason.
