Wright is coming off a huge fall on the gridiron culminating with a spot on the
MaxPreps Sophomore All America Team released today. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound quarterback led Lone Star to a 15-1 record and Conference 5A Division 1 championship game appearance.
Leading the nation in total yardage (5,860 yards), Wright threw for 4,062 yards and 43 touchdowns while running for 1,798 yards and 16 scores. He went over 100 yards on the ground 10 times.

According to
247Sports, a handful of programs have already extended offers including Cincinnati and North Texas.
Shifting to the hardwood, Wright grabbed attention quickly after posterizing an opposing player nearly a foot taller, showing his explosiveness in driving through the lane with a quick crossover punctuated by a one-handed stuff. See the highlight below.
"Trey is a dynamic player on the basketball court that can change the game," Lone Star head basketball coach Keith Connor said. "He has accomplished a lot in just two years but the significant thing about it is he splits time with football and basketball so when he comes to basketball we have already been going since August. He just comes in and picks right up where the team is. There is no limit to what he can do because he possesses all the intangibles on the court and on the field."
In his first three games with the Lone Star basketball team, Wright averaged 19.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. These numbers follow a freshman varsity season that saw him earn first team All-District honors with 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.
