As one of the pioneering states in the sport of high school girls flag football, Florida has dominated the spring landscape.
Florida is one of seven states to sanction flag football in the spring and has since the early 2000s.
With that history in mind, it's no surprise that the Sunshine State is ahead of the game when it comes to producing top-notch quarterbacks.
Read on for a look at 20 of the state's best signal callers this spring.

Leading an offense that has outscored opponents 435-32 over a 12-0 march toward the postseason. Alexander has passed for 450 yards in a game – a single-game state record – twice this season.

Lakewood (St. Petersburg)Produced 2,880 yards through the air – better than 220 yards per game – with 43 touchdown passes during an 11-2 campaign.
Taylor Brock, 8th,
Gateway Charter (Fort Myers)Just an eighth-grader, Brock cracks the list with more than 250 yards per game and 42 touchdowns against six interceptions. One of just two quarterbacks this spring to throw for over 400 yards in a game.
Peyton Carter, Jr.,
NicevilleCarter has piled up 3,425 yards to go with 58 touchdown passes, recently surpassing 100 for her career. She opened the season with 345 yards and six TDs in a 47-12 win over Freeport.

Lennard (Ruskin)The fourth-year varsity quarterback has tossed for 3,421 yards with 51 touchdowns. She had 72 TD passes as a junior.
Jalyn Escobar, Jr.,
Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach)Has led the Crusaders to an 11-2 record with 2,598 yards and 42 touchdowns while completing 67.1 percent of her attempts.
Aubrey Fogel, Jr.,
Seminole Ridge (Loxahatchee)Helped the Hawks win the latest of the program's six state titles as a sophomore last year. Already has 151 touchdowns and more than 10,500 yards for her career.
Paige Halverson, Sr.,
Robinson (Tampa)Robinson has won a record nine straight state championships. The Knights have a chance to make it 10 thanks to Halverson, who is throwing for nearly 210 yards per game with 34 touchdowns.

Tampa Catholic (Tampa)Has helped the Crusaders go 12-2 with 2,877 yards and 45 touchdowns. She threw eight TD passes earlier this month against Lakewood Ranch.
Rakyia Louis, Sr.,
Edison (Miami)One of the state's most prolific passers with more than 13,000 career yards and 169 touchdowns. Hopes to lead the top-ranked Class 1A program to back-to-back titles.

CelebrationAmong the state leaders with 53 touchdown passes.
Izzy Murray, Jr.,
Ponte VedraHas a chance to surpass 10,000 career yards by the time she graduates. She ranks second in the state with 3,476 while completing 75.9 percent of her attempts.

Bartram Trail (St. Johns)Led the Bears to 13 straight wins to begin the season with 2,670 yards and 47 touchdowns.
Reese Pittman, Jr.,
Plant (Tampa)Pittman has completed 68 percent of her pass attempts for 2,694 yards. She had career highs of 337 yards and seven touchdowns while connecting on 26 of 30 attempts late last month against Winthrop College Prep Academy.

Coral Springs Charter (Coral Springs)Rodriguez has thrown for 2,160 yards and 17 scores while rushing for nearly 1,000 more.

Western (Davie)Leads all sophomores in the state with 2,771 yards and 35 touchdowns for state championship contender Western.

Springstead (Spring Hill)The top freshman passer in the state has thrown for 2,423 yards while completing 71.9 percent of her attempts.
Jordana Weil, Sr.,
Park Vista (Lake Worth)Park Vista has been near the top of the rankings all season thanks in part to Weil's 1,920 passing yards and 32 touchdowns. She is completing 72 percent of her attempts.
Gabby Werr, Sr.,
Alonso (Tampa)The 2025 MaxPreps Florida Player of the Year broke school records for career passing earlier this season. She currently has 12,224 yards with a state-leading 3,879 this season to go with 63 TDs for the defending state champions.
Victoria Whitfield, Jr.,
East Bay (Gibsonton)One of the more dynamic signal callers in the state, Whitfield entered the week with 46 touchdowns through the air and on the ground.
