The McDonald's All American Game rosters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as the committee selects 24 of the top high school basketball players in the Class of 2026 for the annual showcase.
No additional details have been announced for the 2026 McDonald's All-American Game at this point.
Ahead of the announcement, we are breaking down the candidates with a look at who
should make the team and who
will make the team. Twenty-four players will ultimately get the call from a group of more than 400 nominees.
Six players deserving of an invitation stand out as unlikely to earn a spot in the game.
Wake Forest signee
Quentin Coleman has been among the most impactful players in the country this season, leading
Principia (St. Louis, Mo.) to the No. 5 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 with averages of 23.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
Purdue signee
Luke Ertel has authored a dominant senior campaign in Indiana, tallying 25.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists per contest to help
Mt. Vernon (Fortville) to a spot in the top 50 nationally.
Dionte Neal has a career record of 98-2 at
Reidsville (N.C.) with a pair of state championships. This season the UNC-Greensboro signee is averaging 37.2 points, 8.5 assists, 6.1 steals and 4.6 rebounds per game. Although his height may limit his upside at the highest level, it's hard to argue with the resume the 5-foot-9 guard has compiled in his high school career.
