Video: Top 10 Games of the WeekCathedral (Indianapolis) at Center Grove (Greenwood, Ind.)
Friday, 7 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: A win Friday night would give Center Grove its first undefeated regular season since 1995.
The Trojans (8-0) wrapped up their first undisputed Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference title with a hard-fought 17-7 win over Lawrence North (Indianapolis) last week.
Cathedral – whose only losses this year were against Ohio opponents – wants to close the regular season on a high note before its first postseason at the Class 6A level. The Fighting Irish have 12 state titles at lower classifications since 1986, including winning the 5A crown the last two years.
Names to watch: Senior tackle
Javon Swann, a three-star prospect according to 247Sports, leads a Center Grove defense allowing just over 15 points per game this season. On offense, junior
Titus McCoy is averaging nearly 150 rushing yards per game.
Cathedral has two of the better sophomore prospects in the nation in running back
Markese Stepp and offensive tackle
Emil Ekiyor. Both players already have scholarship offers from one or more Big Ten teams.
