Darby Tatum improved to 9-1 for No. 3 Clovis, nearly half his team's victory total, after beating Clovis North (Fresno) 2-0.
- No. 5 Franklin has won 10 consecutive games, a school record, and is ranked No. 1 by the Sacramento Bee for just the second time in the 13-year history of the program, thanks to a lot of non-senior pitchers. Franklin swept two-time defending Sac-Joaquin Section Division I champion Elk Grove for the first time.
- No. 10 Granite Bay bounced back into these rankings after beating previous Sacramento Bee No. 1 Davis and current Bee No. 2 Oak Ridge 7-2 as
