Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 77-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carson upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to North Rowan (Spencer, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 6-4. North Rowan won 2-0 in their recent league bout against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC)

Next up, the Wonders play the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC) in a 4A Greater Metro bout, on Wednesday, January 3. A.L. Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Ragin' Bulls go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 69-62 non-league win over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC).
