West Virginia High School Basketball - University overwhelms John Marshall
January 5, 2024: Morgantown, WV 26508 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) and the visiting John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), saw University's basketball squad wallop John Marshall by a tally of 94-18.
With the victory, University improves its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Wheeling Park won 62-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV)
Next up, the Monarchs play the Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) in a Freelance test, on Tuesday, January 9. John Marshall will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Golden Bears go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 48-41 league loss to Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH).
