In Friday's non-league match, the host Ripley Vikings basketball team scored a good 56-42 triumph over the Nitro Wildcats.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 10. Ripley will attempt to move on its 8-0 season record. The Big Reds enter the match with a 1-7 record after their 74-65 league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV).
