North Carolina High School Basketball - R-S Central overwhelms East Rutherford

January 10, 2023: Forest City, NC 28018

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), saw R-S Central's basketball squad wallop East Rutherford by a tally of 71-43.

With the victory, R-S Central improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Chase (Forest City, NC) to confront the Trojans in a 2A Conference 41 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Chase won 44-36 in their recent league challenge against Patton (Morganton, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers confront the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 challenge, on Friday, January 13. East Rutherford will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Wolverines go into the test with a 4-9 record after their 58-44 non-league loss to Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC).
