South Dakota High School Basketball - Wilmot holds off Britton-Hecla
January 10, 2023: Wilmot, SD 57279 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wilmot Wolves (Wilmot, SD) and the visiting Britton-Hecla Braves (Britton, SD), saw Wilmot's basketball squad hold off Britton-Hecla by a tally of 53-48.
With the victory, Wilmot improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD) to confront the Coyotes in a B Region 1 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Waverly/South Shore lost 53-14 in their recent league challenge against Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD)
Next up, the Braves confront the Langford Lions (Langford, SD) in a B Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Britton-Hecla will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 44-31 non-league loss to Redfield (Redfield, SD).
