North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg nipped by Independence

January 10, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28212

The Independence Patriots tipped the host East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team by a final score of 44-39 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a 4A Southwestern game, on Friday, January 12. Independence will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Ravens enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 63-57 league win over Providence (Charlotte, NC).

With the defeat, East Mecklenburg moves to 9-7 on the year. The Eagles host Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Cougars in a 4A Southwestern game on Friday, January 12.
